Presentation Topic: The latest social and economic changes that have occurred in Queensland’s gas field communities based on key influences and changes to towns over time.
Dr. Katherine Witt is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland’s Centre for Coal Seam Gas. She leads the Social Performance team studying the cumulative social and economic effects of unconventional gas development for local communities, community acceptance and non-technical risk. Katherine is a member of the US National Science Foundation’s Energy Impacts Researchers Network as well as co-chair of the Social Impact Assessment chapter of the International Association for Impact Assessment.
